    The Crucible – Casting Notice 

    CASTING NOTICE

    Arthur Miller’s The Crucible Directed by Marla Ladd

    Dec 13 and 14 at 7pm (Show dates March 3- April 9 Thurs.-Sat at 8 Sun at 4)

     Please bring a Picture and Resume and be prepared to read from sides

    Reverend Parris (35-55yr old) Minister in Salem- Attempts to fight for authority thru the trials. Betty Parris (11-17 yr. old) Parris’ daughter. Abigail Williams (16-19 yr. old) Parris’ niece.  She instigates the trials by falsely accusing others of witchcraft and intimidates the other girls into going along with her plan. Tituba (25-65 yr. old) Parris’ black slave who believes in the occult and potions and spells. Mrs Ann Putnam (35-55) Wife of Thomas Putnam.  Believes a witch is responsible for the death of her 7 infant children.  She accuses Goody Nurse of being a witch because of her jealousy. Thomas Putnam (35-65)A greedy landowner in Salem.  He accuses his neighbors so he can buy their land. Ruth Putnam(15-17) The Putnams’ Daughter.  She accuses several so her father can get their land. Mary Warren (17-18)Servant to the Proctors.  She goes along with Abby however later recants. Mercy Lewis (15-16)Servant to Putnams and friend to Abby.  She participates in the false accusations. John Proctor (25-50) Salem Farmer, married to Elizabeth and a former lover of Abby.  He openly denounces Parris and does not attend church. Elizabeth Proctor (25-50) Wife of John Proctor.  She is a decent and honest woman who dismissed Abigail because of her affair with John. Reverend Hale (30-60) Minister in Beverly.  He comes to investigate Betty’s condition and determine if witchcraft was responsible.  He supports the trials at first but later denounces them when he learns Abigail lied. Rebecca Nurse (40-70) Wife of Francis Nurse.  She is one of the most respected individuals in Salem in Salem because of her kindness.  She argues against the witch trials and is later accused of witchcraft. Francis Nurse (45-75) Farmer and landowner is Salem.  He is a respected member of the community often called upon to settle arguments. Susanna Walcott (16-18) Friend of Abby.  Participates in the accusations. Giles Corey (55-75) Elderly inhabitant of Salem.  He challenges the court in attempt to defend his wife who has been convicted of witchcraft.  He is pressed to death. Sarah Good (25-65) Beggar in Salem.  First to be accused. Judge Hathorne (40-50) A Judge in Salem. Deputy Governor Danforth (40-50) A special judge serving the court for the trials.  He signs death sentences for those who do not confess.  He does not want to appear weak. Ezekiel Cheever (25-55) Hired by the court to help arrest the accused. Marshal Herrick (25-55) hired by court to help arrest the accused. Hopkins (20-60) A Jailer.

    La Habra Depot casting notice

    Will Roger’s Follies – Casting Notice 

    ‘WILL ROGERS FOLLIES’

    Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theater is casting Will Rogers Follies. Orlando Alexander, dir./choreo.; David Lamoureux, music dir. Rehearsals start late July. Performances run Aug. 20-Sept. 26.

    Seeking—Ziegfeld Girls: must be 5’5″ and over, beautiful, showgirl types, must dance well and be able to do a showgirl walk and kick line, tap a plus; Wrangles: male quartet, must dance well and sing harmonies extremely well, tap a plus; Clem Rogers: male, 50+, Will’s father, must be a versatile Vaudevillian-type performer with strong singing voice, comic timing a must; Z’s Favorite: female, beautiful, standout showgirl with comic timing, must sing and dance very well and display specialty skill of choice; Will’s Children (Will Jr., Mary, James, and Freddy): 8-12, outgoing, very engaging personalities, must sing and move well. Note: The roles of Will Rogers and Betty Blake have been cast.

    Auditions will be held June 28, 7 p.m. at the theater, 455 W. Foothill Blvd., Claremont. Come prepared to dance first (bring tap shoes) and then sing if asked to stay.     Leapin’ Lizards! The popular comic strip heroine takes center stage in one of the world’s best-loved musicals.  Annie is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil doings, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new family and home in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy .  Hit songs include ‘Tomorrow’, ‘Maybe’, ‘Easy Street’ and more…

    The Huntington Beach Playhouse is a non-profit theatre, there is no pay.

      hi ms. adriana soon to be MRS. its brittany today i saw Dannille at the 99 cent store, not poatoe shirt danielle. the danielle who sang seasons of love. tomorrow in the morning i am going in the airplane to go to mexico. OHHHH, i also saw Joseoln that used to go to the acting class. i saw her at soak city i went with my mom, nina, and step cousins we were waiting in line to go on a ride and she was in back of me.
